Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) Education

At Wekume, we believe that knowledge is power—and when students are equipped with the right information about their sexual and reproductive health, they can make confident, life-changing decisions. Our SRH Education initiative is designed to break harmful cycles of silence, shame, and misinformation by delivering accurate, youth-friendly, and accessible content to Uganda’s university and tertiary students.

Our Aims:

To empower students with medically sound, culturally sensitive SRH knowledge

To foster open, stigma-free conversations around topics like STIs, HIV prevention, mental health, consent, contraception, and more

To prevent SRH-related complications that disrupt education, dignity, and futures

How We Educate:

Wekume App: Offers real-time access to health professionals through SafeChat, informative blog articles, and a discreet digital shop

Social Media: Engaging, student-centered posts, reels, and Q&As that spark dialogue and learning

On-Campus Events: Interactive health pop-ups, workshops, and free testing services at universities Community Partnerships: Collaborations with SRH experts, clinics, and peer educators for trusted content and referrals

SRH education isn’t just important—it’s urgent. When students are informed, they are protected. And when they are protected, they can unlock their full potential.
